Coach HouseThe coach house adjoining Lower House comprises the main art school building. It has been completely refurbished to provide the art school with more space and much-improved facilities. The Studio is our largest room, running the entire length of the first floor of the coach house. It's the heart of the art school. In order to get a really light, airy environment, we removed the roof and re-built it at a higher pitch and with several large roof lights. The studio is equipped with workbenches, easels, sinks and all of the equipment required for painting, drawing, printing, and sculpture. The Darkroom is completely enclosed on the ground floor and is a cool, quiet space. It has all the necessary equipment for film photography, including a colour enlarger as well as a light box for preparing photographic silk screens. The Computer Suite is also based on the ground floor. Here we have a suite of state-of-the-art computers with the latest photographic and design software. We also have an A3 colour printer and slide scanner.
Lower HouseLower House is the residential part of the school. Our students can be accommodated here, in 4-star comfort. We also have a dedicated dining-room for students' use, and an extensive library of both art books and DVDs. More detailed information can be found on the accommodation page or the dedicated Lower House site CornwallWe are fortunate to be in such a beautiful location. Our courses make as much use of the beautiful Cornish landscape as possible. The Tamar Valley, Bodmin and Dartmoor are nearby, and both the North and South Cornwall coastlines are easily accessible.
